Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney were back in the United squad on Monday morning as the Reds flew out from Manchester Airport.

The experienced pair were both rested from the weekend's victory at Bolton Wanderers but, as indicated by Sir Alex in his post-match interview, they should now be available to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final first leg on Tuesday night.

The full travelling squad is as follows:

Edwin van der Sar, Ben Foster, Tomasz Kuszczak; Gary Neville, Rafael, Nemanja Vidic, Jonny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra, Ritchie De Laet; Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Darron Gibson, Paul Scholes, Gabriel Obertan, Nani, Antonio Valencia, Ji-sung Park, Ryan Giggs; Wayne Rooney, Dimitar Berbatov, Federico Macheda.

Come on Reds! We need a goal tonight and to not leave it with all to do to OT. My prediction - 0-1 Rooney 8'

Nearly got the team right, and when Rooney scored his first goal I thought I'd got the prediction right too. However, it wasn't to be. We'll get them at Old Trafford though, and let's play to God (Scholes) that Rooney's alright.
