Davids returns to football and signed for crystal palace (#804) on 20-08-2010 at 21:36:50

The former Netherlands midfielder Edgar Davids, who played for Milan, Juventus and Barcelona, among others, and that was two years away from professional football, has signed for Crystal Palace in the second division of English football. The former Netherlands international has signed a bond on the charge in terms of games he plays. The Palace confirmed on its website that the 37 years of training on Friday and would be ready for the game against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
"It's an exciting time for the club and for me. I just want to enjoy football and show what I can do," Davids said on the website of his new club. Davids became famous in the Ajax, where he won a Champions League and then continued his career in Serie A with AC Milan first and then more successfully in the Juventus team that helped to reach two finals of the LeagueChampions. After a step-by Inter Milan and Barcelona, Davids joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2005 before returning to his childhood club, Ajax.
Although clearly not as strong midfielder who once was, Davids is a great boost for Palace coach George Burley, who tries to bring back to the London club to the Premier League. "We talked to Edgar and held a meeting earlier this week. He felt excited and has been training with Ajax. Hopefully now I can face this challenge as best as possible," Burley said on the website of the Palace.
