BackOr at least this is what he has declared while defying his critics. He was a quite expensive signing and still he hasn't shown he is worth paying the £18.3million he costed when bought from Atletico de Madrid. De Gea was just starting to walk when Schmeichel was making his name at the club in 1991. But he has still seen enough to be inspired by the Great Dane.
De Gea added: "Peter Schmeichel was legendary and a role model for any keeper."
