BackPatrice Evra insists that he always believed that Manchester United would prove their mettle against the best in the Premier League.
Only last week, the Red Devils managed to overcome Chelsea and all but seal the title, as they now only need one point from two games to win the league a record 19th time.
The Frenchman has now pointed to earlier in the season, when he called for the club to be measured by their performances in the long run, when the Red Devils had hit a slightly difficult patch away from home.
"I remember saying you had to pay the musician at the end of the show," he told MUTV.
"I believed in that. I wasn't just saying it to look good in the newspapers. I said that because I believed it.
"I was convinced that no team was better than us this season. Now, that's the result - if we go to Blackburn and win (or draw), we will be champions.
"I am not surprised because I always believed we were the best."
A point at Ewood Park would see United become the most successful club in English league history, overtaking Liverpool in terms of titles won.
