BackBorussia Dortmund star Shinji Kagawa says he would be "strongly interested" in talking to Manchester United about a summer transfer.
Kagawa, 22, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after enjoying an excellent debut season in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
The Japan international joined the German club from Cerezo Osaka for a fee of only £295,000 last summer and scored eight goals in 17 appearances before breaking his foot in the semi-final of the Asian Cup against South Korea in January.
After collecting a Bundesliga winner's medal, Kagawa has now suggested he is keen to try his hand with the reigning Premier League champions.
"If I get a formal offer, I'll be strongly interested in listening to what they have to say," Kagawa told Nikkan Sports.
"The Premier League is one of the leagues I want to challenge in.
"If it is Man Utd, I'll be still more eager to go and see how much I can do there."
United are lacking a creative midfielder following the retirement of Paul Scholes and have also been linked with moves for Tottenham's Luka Modric and Wesley Sneijder of Inter.
