Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United are facing another transfer tug-of-war over Newcastle hot-shot Papiss Cisse. After missing out on Eden Hazard, who decided to join Chelsea, the city rivals have turned their attention to Cisse.
The Senegal striker made a stunning start to his Toon career by scoring 13 goals in 14 games after joining from German side Freiburg in January for £10million.
The Newcastle striker has been named Senegal captain and has won the African Golden Boot.
Alan Pardew also faces a battle to keep hold off Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye, reports the Daily Mirror.
Ba also has a £7million buy-out clause, which has already interested Chelsea, while several Premier League clubs are tracking Cabaye.
