Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung has hinted that more Korean players could join him in the Premier League.

Bolton's Chung Yong-lee is amongst a crop to have already made the leap, as well as Sunderland's new signing Won Ji-dong and Park believes there are more Asian players that could make the grade.
"More Korean players will come here," he said to Sky Sports News.

"There are Korean players who have the talent to play in Europe.

"Hopefully they can come over to play and show how much Asian football has improved."

After joining in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven, some critics hinted the move was more of a tactic to spread the United brand in Asia, but Park believes he has proven that was not the case.

"At first, some said I was selling T-shirts. It didn't hurt. It was my first year and maybe they thought an Asian player could not perform in European football," he added.

"I proved it was the wrong thing to think and I am delighted with that.

"I have proved I can play in European football."
