Edwin Van der Sar received the authorization of Alex Ferguson to remain indefinitely in Netherlands with his wife Ana Maria, who was hospitalized after suffering a brain-vascular accident.
" Annemarie had a problem of health last week, while he was in Holland, and was hospitalized. This one is the best place for her. She has been examined two times and they try to find the problem", the own Ferguson assured this Tuesday to justify the absence of the player.
"Edwin asked me that if he could remain there. He needs to be with his wife and we all hope that she recovers soon ", he added.
Van der Sar got a knee injury last month and went to his natal country to be treated there and being abble to spend Christmas time with his family. It was then when his 36-year-old wife, had to be taken to the hospital after collapsing last Wednesday and suffering a brain hemorrhage.
